Build it the simple way

Hey Reader,

Your first digital product doesn’t need a funnel, automations, or a 47-step launch plan.

You just need a solid product and a simple way to deliver it.

Here’s how to build it without overbuilding:

Pick the simplest format

Choose what’s easiest for you to create and easiest for them to use.

  • PDF? Great.
  • Google Doc? Perfect.
  • Loom video? Go for it.
  • Notion template? Cool.

Don’t overcomplicate this. Your goal is to help them solve a problem—not impress them with your tech skills.

Use tools you already know

Now is not the time to sign up for 3 new platforms. Use what you’ve got. You can always upgrade later.

You can:

  • Sell with a Stripe payment link
  • Deliver with a Google Drive folder
  • Track purchases with a spreadsheet

Low-tech can still mean high-impact.

Finish it fast

Set a timer and ship it.

Give yourself one week (or one weekend) to go from idea to done.

Done is better than perfect.

Most people get stuck here.

They spend months building, tweaking, and never launch.

You don’t need perfect. You just need the first version.

Build it simple. Build it fast. Get it out there.

Hit reply and let me know: What tool or format are you thinking of using?

I appreciate you.

Hey Reader, In our EDUpreneur Mastermind last week, we chatted a bit about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in today’s world, with AI continuing to take over. So I wanted to share an analogy that might help make this typically confusing topic make a little more sense. (we’ll see how I do) The reality is, how we’ve always approached SEO in the past doesn’t work (or at least not as well) as it used to. We need to think about it differently now. The problem is, SEO has always been confusing,...

Hey Reader, I said it before, and I’ll keep saying it: AI isn’t the future anymore. It’s just part of the environment now. “AI-powered” no longer impresses anyone. It’s expected. Everyone uses it. Every tool has it built in. Every platform integrates it. Every update mentions it. And yet, most of us feel more overwhelmed than ever. Not because we aren’t using AI. But because we’re constantly wondering if we’re using the right AI. Here’s the reality AI tech companies don’t want to admit: Most...

Hey friend, We made it! Not just to a new year, but through another year of building, experimenting, winning, losing, learning, and creating together. And whether 2025 felt like momentum or maintenance, big wins or slow steps, I want to take a moment to celebrate what you’ve done. Because the truth is, most people never even start. But you did. You’re building something that matters. And that’s worth raising a glass to. 🥂 As we step into 2026, I want to let you in on where we’re heading and...
