Hey Reader,
Imposter syndrome is sneaky, right?
It’s that voice that whispers, “You’re not ready.” “You don’t know enough.” “Who do you think you are to do this?”
It shows up as perfectionism. As procrastination. As over-researching instead of starting.
And for creators, educators, and entrepreneurs, it’s pretty common. (Like, annoyingly common.)
And look, I could spend the next 500 emails telling you how smart, capable, and creative you are. But here’s the thing: hearing it from someone else only gets you so far.
The real work? That’s figuring out how you quiet the noise.
Here are a few things I come back to when that inner critic gets loud in my head.
Celebrate Small Wins
Seriously, write them down. Not just the big wins, like launching your course or landing a client, but the smaller stuff too.
- That email someone replied to and said “This helped me.”
- That blog post you finally published.
- That day you stayed focused when everything felt messy.
- The week you survived and that was it. (yes, thats a win, too)
These wins matter. Stack them up. Revisit them when doubt creeps in.
Choose Progress Over Perfection
You don’t need to know everything to get started. You just need to start. The best creators I know? They learn in public. They put things out there before they’re 100% polished. And every project, every post, every launch, they get a little better. That’s the game.
Find Your People
Imposter syndrome loves isolation. So don’t go it alone.
Whether it’s a mastermind, a group chat, or a community of other EDUcreators, surround yourself with folks who get it. People who’ll cheer you on, remind you of your strengths, and call you out (kindly) when you’re spiraling.
You don’t have to feel 100% confident to take action.
You just need to take some kind of action. That’s usually when confidence shows up anyway.
So, if today’s one of those days where the voice in your head is extra loud, consider this your reminder: You belong here. You’re doing good work. And you’re not alone.
