Feedback requested.

Hey Reader,

Back in December, I shared that I had been holding on to a SWOT Analysis Workbook for more than 6 months without sharing it out.

I was waiting for it to be "perfect" or "ready."

The truth is, it's likely never going to be perfect...but it can be ready.

So I shared it with you and got some really great feedback.

I've made some adjustments from that feedback, and wanted to share it again today.

Why? Well, because what I would typically do is receive that feedback and spend another 6 months trying to "fix it" and make it "perfect." So instead of doing what I normally do, I'm trying the whole "practice what you preach" thing, and just putting it right back out there for more feedback.

We often fear feedback because we receive it as criticism. We worry about what people will say, how they will tear it apart, and how we'll feel about it.

But that feedback is crucial to improving and being better for those we serve.

So, here we go.

I'd really love your feedback on this free SWOT Analysis Worksheet.

A SWOT Analysis is an exercise meant to help you overcome challenges, identify opportunities for growth, maximize your efforts, and protect your business from potential threats. This PDF download is a simple guide and worksheet to help you assess the 4 factors and how they impact your business or side hustle.

I've found that working through a SWOT analysis is a simple, but powerful way for you to ask questions that we don't always think to ask ourselves. In my experience, it has led to some really valuable conversations and adjustments. I hope you find the same value.

I'm including a link to the worksheet below. I'd be curious to know your thoughts on it.

  • Is it something you would have given me your name and email for?
  • Is it valuable to you at all? Why or why not?
  • Is it clear on how to use it?
  • Doe it just suck?
  • What changes would make it better?

Could you do me a huge favor and hit 'reply' and let me know what you think? Thanks in advance for the feedback!

Here's the link to download the SWOT Analysis Guide & Worksheet.

I hope this helps

💡CONTENT CREATION IDEA

Document A Behind-The-Scenes Decision

Here’s a go-to content idea when you’re stuck: Document a behind-the-scenes decision.

What's a decision you made recently? Your email marketing platform, your course software, your pricing?

Whatever it is, share what you chose, how you approached the decision, and why you made the choice you did.

People love getting a peek behind the curtain. It builds trust and gives them something valuable to walk away with.

Happy creating!

Hey Reader, Imposter syndrome is sneaky, right? It’s that voice that whispers, “You’re not ready.” “You don’t know enough.” “Who do you think you are to do this?” It shows up as perfectionism. As procrastination. As over-researching instead of starting. And for creators, educators, and entrepreneurs, it’s pretty common. (Like, annoyingly common.) And look, I could spend the next 500 emails telling you how smart, capable, and creative you are. But here’s the thing: hearing it from someone else...

Hey Reader, If there’s one thing that’s made the biggest difference in our team's success over the years, it’s this: We listen. It sounds simple (and it is), but it’s wildly underrated. Whether you’re running a consulting business, launching a course, starting a podcast, or growing a side hustle, you can’t grow for your audience if you’re not listening to your audience. In his book Superfans, Pat Flynn calls this “learning the lyrics.” It means listening to how your audience talks about their...

Hey Reader, I’ve started a lot of businesses over the last 20 years or so. I’ve done a lot of things. Started a record label, managed the janitorial crew of a 18 building facility for a multi-billion dollar company, sold life and health insurance, ran fast food restaurants, helped open a bar, co-owned a concert club, and launched an online marketing firm. I’ve had some successes, and I’ve had a lot of failures. Most importantly, I’ve learned a ton along the way. A little over 10 years ago, I...
