The value of knowing something is decreasing.

Hey Reader,

Last week I touched on how AI is a bigger threat to those who strictly sell information, and that's because AI is making information cheaper.

The reality is, information was already getting cheaper every day. The internet has been doing that for years. AI has just sent it into overdrive.

20 years ago, information was still scarce. The internet was here, but we were all still figuring it out, and a lot of people were very slow to use it too much. Only a few people had figured out they could make money creating and sharing information.

So selling information in the form of courses, downloads, blogs, etc, was an extremely lucrative business.

Fast forward to 10 years ago, and information was abundant. You could find anything you could think of, and you could do it in a Google second.

Fast forward to today, and information is even more abundant...essentially free.

Whether you're looking for a lesson plan, a business plan, a content calendar, a detailed summary of a book, or directions for making Olive Garden's famous breadsticks at home... you can find it. Even if a normal Google search doesn't bring it up, AI will help you track it down or create it.

The value of knowing something is decreasing...faster and faster by the second.

The value of knowing something is decreasing...faster and faster by the second.

However, I believe this means the value of helping someone do something is increasing.

When I think about the EDUpreneurs in our EDUpreneur Community, Mastermind, and MBA Program that are really thriving right now, it's not the ones who have great ideas or lots of knowledge.

Don't get me wrong, I think they're all brilliant, but the ones that are really killing it right now are the ones that are awesome at helping people implement those ideas or apply that knowledge to real-world problems their audience has.

They coach. They facilitate. They guide. The provide feedback. The create accountability. The bring people together.

This is why I keep coming back to community.

It's why masterminds still work.

It's why coaching still works.

It's why workshops where people actually create something are more valuable than the keynote or webinar that simply inspires or teaches something.

This is why we've been investing so much of our time and energy into the EDUpreneur Community and the Teach Better Academy Community.

The courses are valuable.

The resources are valuable.

The information is valuable.

The ideas are valuable.

But the thing that makes those communities valuable isn't the content or ideas.

It's the people, the conversations, the accountability, the support, and the connection.

AI can answer questions.

It can't jump on a Zoom and ask "how's it going for you?"

AI can generate great ideas.

It can't care whether you follow through.

AI can layout an incredibly detailed plan for creating and launching your new offer.

It can't celebrate with you when that first sale comes through.

AI can create and share endless ideas and information.

It can't be the support system you need to succeed.

I believe a crucial question we all need to be asking ourselves is:

Am I selling information, or am I helping people actually use that information to create something of value or solve a real problem?

Because the reality is: Information isn't becoming a commodity...it's already there.

The real value, though, lies in what people do with that information.

AI can't get them through that implementation to find success.

You can.

I hope this helps.

Before you go...

What's your biggest challenge right now? Just hit reply with the letter.

A. Finding time to work on my business

B. Creating content consistently

C. Growing my audience

D. Creating an offer to sell

E. Fighting self-doubt

I appreciate you.

It is not designing creatives, writing ad copy, building funnels, SEO, or even understanding how to utilize AI. The absolute most valuable skill you can develop, that will actually help you truly grow a successful business...is listening. Listening helps you create better offers. Hey Reader, One of the most important lessons I've learned over the last 11+ years building Teach Better is that many of our best ideas were sort of accidental. They were not things we came up with in a strategic meeting. They didn't come from the multiple day-long meetings we've had with carefully selected mentors and advisors. They weren't born from deep dives into business books, business strategies, or business planning frameworks. They came from paying attention to what the people we...

Hey Reader, I have the absolute honor of working with some really brilliant and passionate educators who are building successful businesses and doing truly great work. Regardless of if I'm coaching a veteran EDUpreneur who is trying to grow from hitting 6-figures to that quarter-million mark, or brainstorming with our mastermind to help a new member determine what their new business will be, one of the most common things I hear is people feeling like they are behind, like they aren't growing...
