✅ Top Priority: Make 2025 your best year yet!

Hey Reader,

As we get closer to the new year, it’s the perfect time to pause, reflect, and start planning for what’s next. Whether you’re growing a side hustle, launching a new idea, or scaling your business, having a clear plan can make all the difference.

Hit 'reply' and let me know if you want me to go deeper on any of these things, but I wanted to give you some quick and easy steps to take to help you map out the next year.

  1. Reflect on the Past Year: Before jumping into new goals, take a moment to review the past year. What worked well? What didn’t? What lessons did you learn? Grab a notebook, journal, Google doc, or start a voice note and write it all down (or talk it all down?) Understanding where you’ve been will help you make better decisions about where you’re headed.
  2. Set Clear, Actionable Goals: Your goals should be specific and achievable. Instead of saying, “I want to grow my business,” break it down: “I want to sign five new clients by March” or “I want to increase my email subscribers by 25% in the next six months.” Clear goals make it easier to focus and measure progress. (Click here to see our newsletter on SMART and PACT goals.)
  3. Prioritize Your Work: You don’t need to do everything all at once. In fact, you can't do everything at once, and trying to is a surefire way to do none of it well. Identify your top priorities for the year and focus your energy there. Ask yourself, “What’s going to have the biggest impact on my growth?” Whether it’s launching a course, building your email list, or refining your offer, keep your list manageable.
  4. Build Systems and Routines: If you’re feeling overwhelmed by all the moving parts, it might be time to streamline. Automate repetitive tasks, create templates for things you do regularly, and set up routines that help you stay consistent. A little organization now can save you hours later. (as someone who is always all over the place, trust me, take the time for this!)
  5. Schedule Time to Work on Your Business: Life gets busy, and it’s easy to let your side hustle slip down the priority list. Schedule blocks of time on your calendar to work on your business, not just in it. Even a consistent 2-3 hours a week can lead to big results over time.
  6. Celebrate Small Wins: Don’t wait til you hit that “big goal” to celebrate. Every little step forward matters, and every little win counts. Celebrate them all, reflect on your progress, and use that momentum to keep going.

Planning doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Start small, focus on what matters most, and remember—you’ve got this.

Let me know if I can help.

- Jeff

⚡️Things to Check Out

‼️ The TikTok Ban is Back

  • A federal appeals court upheld a law banning TikTok nationwide unless the app is sold off by its China-based parent company, rejecting TikTok's claim that the crackdown violates the free speech rights of millions of Americans.
  • In its ruling, the court said that it was "precisely" because of TikTok's "expansive reach" that both Congress and the president determined that divesting it from China's control "is essential to protect our national security."
  • A TikTik spokesman said the company plans on appealing to the Supreme Court.

📈 "Profound" Changes Coming to Google Search

  • Google CEO Sundar Pichai says the company’s search engine will “change profoundly” in 2025.
  • He said, “I think you’ll be surprised, even early in ‘25, the kind of newer things Search can do compared to where it is today.”
  • Pichai also responded to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s comment from earlier this year, in which he said Google should’ve been the “default winner” in the AI race.
  • He said he'd love to do a side-by-side comparison of Microsoft’s own models and Google's models, stating that Microsoft is “using someone else’s models,” alluding to the company’s partnership with OpenAI.

✅ How to Build Great Landing Pages for 5x More Conversions

  • You have approximately 3 seconds to grab a user's attention and about 50 to 60 seconds to sell your product.
  • According to a report by Gartner, about 48% of the people who visit your landing page don’t interact with any marketing collaterals and leave only after visiting the first page.
  • Today's audiences have little patience for passive and inauthentic messaging. Rather than trying to manipulate them, you need to be direct while making your message compelling enough to earn their attention.

Hey Reader, As we get closer to the new year, it’s the perfect time to reset, refocus, and gearing up for what’s to come over the next 12 months. Because I know the Holiday season is busy, I want to keep this short and sweet. So here are 3 things to keep your 2025 planning simple, but effective. 1. Reflect on Wins and LessonsNote: I said "lessons" not "losses." Take a few minutes to write down what went well this year. Celebrate those wins (big and small). Then, write down the lessons you’ve...

Hey Reader, Are you working on a project, piece of content, or maybe a new lead magnet, and stuck in the "it's not quite right yet" stage? This is where you feel good about what it is you're creating, but you're not quite happy with it. You're pretty sure it's pretty good...but you're also pretty sure it could be a little better. This is a dangerous place to get stuck in, because it can last a long time and really destroy your efficiency. I got an email this morning from my friend, Jay. In...

Hey Reader, Building a side hustle or business can be rewarding, lucrative, and just plain fun. But let’s be real—doing it on your own can also feel a little lonely at times...or maybe a lot lonely. You’re putting in the work, chasing your dreams, and wearing all the hats (why are there so many hats?), and it probably feels like no one else quite gets it, right? The good news? You’re not alone. We've all felt this, and we'll all feel it again. While the feeling of loneliness is something that...
