🚀 Boost your reach with this strategy

Hey Reader,

Don't worry, you're not crazy. I sent this email a day early. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the United States, so I'll be taking the day off. And if you celebrate, I wanted to make sure to get this week's newsletter to you before you get into the Holiday.

With that said, if your celebrate: Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

Ok, now on to the newsletter...

Have you considered being a guest on a podcast? Or a bunch of podcasts?

If you’re looking for a way to grow your side hustle, guest podcasting might be the secret weapon you’ve been missing. It’s an awesome way to reach new audiences, share your expertise, and build credibility—all while letting someone else do the majority of the work!

Here’s why guest podcasting works:

  • Reach a New Audience: Podcasts have dedicated listeners. When you guest on someone’s show, you get in front of their audience and bring fresh eyes to your brand.
  • The Trust is Built In: Listeners of a show typically have a good level of trust that the host will only bring them quality content. So if you're on the show, it's assumed that you must know what you're talking about. So the trust they have with the host, starts you off with a higher level of trust before you even start.
  • Position Yourself as an Expert: Sharing your story and insights builds trust and authority with a new audience. People are more likely to follow you, check out your offerings, and join your email list.
  • It’s Less Work for You: You don’t need to start your own podcast (unless you want to!). By being a guest on other podcasts, you get all the exposure without having to worry about the logistics of running a show.

If you’ve been thinking about ways to expand your reach, guest podcasting is an easy and effective strategy to get your name out there. Find shows that align with your niche, reach out to the hosts, and share your value.

Hit 'reply' and let me know, are you considering guest podcasting?

- Jeff

P.S. I've been fortunate to be a guest on dozens of podcasts over the years, and one of the places I get the most invites is from being a member of PodcastGuests.com. Essentially, you get listed on their site and in their weekly emails for thousands of podcasters to find and book you. You can join for $15/month or go premium for $33.25/month. ❌ Google Continues to Crack Down On and Punish "Parasite SEO" Content

  • Google is tightening its rules against “parasite SEO” content, or articles and pages that often have little to do with the site’s focus but that exploit the website’s Google ranking.
  • An example of parasite SEO content is a news blog that publishes online shopping coupon codes in a hidden part of its website or an educational site publishing unrelated affiliate marketing content.
  • Site reputation abuse takes many forms, and more than a few publishers have had to explain to the public why there’s spammy garbage on their otherwise reputable sites; a common defense has been that they themselves didn’t produce it.
