Step 3: Create It (Faster Than You Think)

Hey Reader,

You’ve got your topic. You’ve picked your format. Now it’s time to make the thing.

(If you're not sure what I'm talking about, check last week's email and come back)

This is the part where a lot of people get stuck.

They think it has to be perfect. Fancy. Professionally designed. Like it belongs in a museum.

It doesn’t.

Your lead magnet just needs to solve a real problem in a clear, helpful way. That’s it.

Here’s how to create yours without spiraling...

Step 1: Write a rough draft.

  • Don’t start with Canva.
  • Don’t start with formatting.
  • Start with a Google Doc or a notebook.
  • Brain-dump what your audience needs to know or do.

Step 2: Organize it clearly

  • Use bullet points. Steps. Headings.
  • Imagine they’re brand new to this. Walk them through it.

Step 3: Add a simple intro + a call to action

  • Tell them who you are, what they’re getting, and what they should do next.
  • That “next” could be to check out your offer, book a call, or just reply to you.

Step 4: Put it into a clean format

  • You can use Canva, Notion, a Google Doc, or whatever you prefer.
  • Keep it simple and skimmable.
  • No need for 12 colors and a logo on every page.

This is important: Your first version is allowed to be scrappy. Just get it out there. You can always improve it later.

You’re closer than you think.

Next week, we'll dive into how to deliver it automatically to new subscribers.

Let’s get this thing working for you!

I appreciate you.

Hey Reader, Quick question for you... If someone asked, “What do you offer?” could you answer clearly…in 2 sentences or less? If not, don’t worry. That’s what today's email is for. Here’s a simple formula I use (and teach) to write a clear, compelling offer description: Fill in the blanks: I help [who] with [what], so they can [what they get/why it matters]. Let’s say you’re offering a 60-minute virtual workshop on student engagement. You could say: I help middle school teachers reignite...

Hey Reader, You’ve got an offer idea. You’re feeling good. And then it hits you… “Wait. How much should I charge for this?” You don’t want to scare people away with a high price. But you also don’t want to undervalue your time and energy. Here’s a simple rule of thumb for pricing your first offer: Start with "Easy Yes" pricing. Your first goal isn’t to maximize revenue. It’s to get your first few sales, build momentum, and validate your idea. Here’s are a couple potential offers and how I...

Hey Reader, When you’re ready to start making money from your ideas, it’s tempting to jump into building a full-blown course or complicated membership. But your first offer doesn’t need to be big...or perfect. In fact, the simpler it is, the more likely you’ll actually launch it. With that in mind, here are 3 offers you can create (and sell!) this weekend: 1: A Paid Resource BundleTake your lead magnet and build on it. Add bonus templates, editable versions, lesson plans, walkthrough videos,...
