👉 Don't Wait to Launch. 3 Pages Is All You Need

Hey Reader,

Ok, I'm going to talk about websites again, because it's on my mind. I'm currently working on a redesign for TeachBetter.com.

Any time I work on our site, I think a lot about when I first started building sites, and how it can be a really stressful project for people.

One of the biggest reasons people get stuck building (or rebuilding) their site is feeling like they need all the pages, all the features, and all the things before it’s “ready.”

Here’s a better approach: Start with three essential pages.
That’s it. Just three. And they can be simple.

1. Home Page: You're In The Right Place

This is your “You’re in the right place” page. Your homepage is your first impression. Make it clear and easy to understand who you help, what you help them do, and why they should care.

Think:

  • Intro to who you help and what you help them with. (Think through "I help X to Y by Z")
  • One clear call to action (email sign-up, download this freebie, schedule a call, get an estimate, etc.)
  • A few quick trust-builders: testimonials, data, case study, etc.

Keep it clean. Less is more. The goal here is clarity, not cleverness.

2. About Page: The “Connection” Page

This isn’t your life story—it’s the part of your story that connects to your audience’s emotions. They need to know who you are, why you do what you do, your experience, and why they should start to know/like/trust you. Why you do what you do. Why it matters. Why you get them.

Include:

  • A short version of your journey.
  • What you believe or value.
  • A next step they can take to go deeper.

Let them feel like they know you before you ask them to trust you.

3. Work With Me/Us or Services/Products Page: The “Here’s How I/We Can Help” Page

This is where you clearly explain how people can work with you, learn from you, or support your work. If you’re a coach, consultant, speaker, course creator, or product-based business - this is the hub for your offers - your products, courses, programs, etc.

Make it easy to understand:

  • What you offer
  • Who it’s for
  • What they’ll get (the transformation)
  • How to get started (next/first steps)

Bonus tip: Don’t hide this page. Link it in your navigation and your home page. If you’re building a business, don’t make people search for it. Make it easy for them to pay you.

This is obviously a very simplified version of these 3 pages, but these pages are the foundation of a site that connects, converts, and actually helps you grow. You can always add more later. But these are all you really need to get started.

Go do this - and then hit 'reply' and share your site with me.

I hope this helps

💡CONTENT CREATION IDEA

What Makes YOU Stop Scrolling?

Here’s a quick trick for when you need a content idea and everything feels dry or boring.

Look at what made you stop scrolling this week.

Seriously, go check your own behavior:

  • What post made you pause and think?
  • What reel did you actually watch all the way through?
  • What headline pulled you into an article?
  • What story made you feel something?

Then ask yourself:

  • Why did it catch your attention?
  • What angle did the creator use?
  • Can you use that concept for your audience?

This isn’t about copying someone else. It’s about studying what works and using it as inspiration. If it made you stop, it’ll probably catch the attention of your audience, too.

Try this next time you’re stuck:

  1. Scroll intentionally (yes, I want you to go scrolling, I know.)
  2. Save a few of the posts that pulled you in. Don't go crazy, just save like 3-5 of them.
  3. Analyze those posts and why they worked.
  4. Brainstorm how to use a similar idea, structure, or hook with your own content.

Hope this helps!

Hey Reader, Imposter syndrome is sneaky, right? It’s that voice that whispers, “You’re not ready.” “You don’t know enough.” “Who do you think you are to do this?” It shows up as perfectionism. As procrastination. As over-researching instead of starting. And for creators, educators, and entrepreneurs, it’s pretty common. (Like, annoyingly common.) And look, I could spend the next 500 emails telling you how smart, capable, and creative you are. But here’s the thing: hearing it from someone else...

Hey Reader, If there’s one thing that’s made the biggest difference in our team's success over the years, it’s this: We listen. It sounds simple (and it is), but it’s wildly underrated. Whether you’re running a consulting business, launching a course, starting a podcast, or growing a side hustle, you can’t grow for your audience if you’re not listening to your audience. In his book Superfans, Pat Flynn calls this “learning the lyrics.” It means listening to how your audience talks about their...

Hey Reader, Back in December, I shared that I had been holding on to a SWOT Analysis Workbook for more than 6 months without sharing it out. I was waiting for it to be "perfect" or "ready." The truth is, it's likely never going to be perfect...but it can be ready. So I shared it with you and got some really great feedback. I've made some adjustments from that feedback, and wanted to share it again today. Why? Well, because what I would typically do is receive that feedback and spend another 6...
