👉 Struggling on your own? Tips inside!
Published 21 days ago • 4 min read
Hey Reader,
Building a side hustle or business can be rewarding, lucrative, and just plain fun. But let’s be real—doing it on your own can also feel a little lonely at times...or maybe a lot lonely.
You’re putting in the work, chasing your dreams, and wearing all the hats (why are there so many hats?), and it probably feels like no one else quite gets it, right?
The good news? You’re not alone. We've all felt this, and we'll all feel it again.
While the feeling of loneliness is something that comes with the territory, there are ways to make the journey a little less isolating.
Find Your Community
There are so many online groups and communities full of people just like you—educators-turned-entrepreneurs, side hustlers, and creators chasing their dreams. Whether it’s an online community (like the EDUcreator Club+ Community), a Facebook group, your LinkedIn community, or even a local meetup, having a group of like-minded people to share wins, struggles, and ideas with can make a world of difference.
Join a Mastermind
A mastermind group is like having a built-in support system for your business. It’s a small group of people who meet regularly to share insights, challenges, and feedback.
Masterminds are great for staying accountable and getting fresh perspectives, but most importantly, they remind you that you’re not doing this alone.
Collaborate with Others
Teaming up with someone else can bring fresh energy to your work. Whether it’s co-hosting a webinar, guest blogging, swapping lead magnets, or even just jumping on a Zoom call and brainstorming ideas, collaboration can spark creativity and build meaningful connections.
Celebrate Wins with Friends or Family
Even if your loved ones don’t fully understand your side hustle, they still want to celebrate you. Share your milestones—big or small—with them. Whether it’s landing your first client, hitting a revenue goal, or publishing that first podcast episode or YouTube video, inviting others into your journey can help you feel more supported.
Take Breaks to Recharge
It’s easy to get so wrapped up in building your business that you forget to step away. Schedule regular breaks to connect with the people who matter most in your life. Even a simple coffee catch-up with a friend can make a huge difference in fighting that sense of loneliness.
The reality is: starting something on your own can feel overwhelming, isolating, and just lonely. But you don’t have to do it alone. There’s a whole world of support out there—you just have to reach for it.
5.07 billion people use social media, totalling an average time of 2h 20m per day! That’s a lot of screen time that you can harness to increase sales.
There are pros and cons to all social apps – knowing which platforms your target demographic prefers is paramount to a successful social selling campaign.
Social selling can reduce customer journey friction in the buying process – this helps boost conversion rates and encourages faster (sometimes impulse), purchasing decisions.
The landscape of social media continues to evolve rapidly, bringing fresh opportunities for brands, creators, and marketers alike.
In 2025, social media trends are expected to take brand and content strategy to new heights, giving marketers and creators a chance to capture audience attention in increasingly sophisticated ways.
Short-form video dominence, quality over quantity, and the rise of AI top the list.

💡CONTENT CREATION IDEA
"Ask Your Audience"
Go straight to the source—your audience! This could mean posting a poll on Instagram, creating a quick survey, or simply asking questions in the comments or through an email.
Ask questions like:
"What’s your biggest challenge right now in [your niche]?"
"What’s one thing you’d love to learn more about?"
"If you could ask me anything about [your expertise], what would it be?"
The responses will give you a goldmine of content ideas directly tied to your audience’s needs and interests. Plus, engaging with your audience this way builds connection and shows them you care about delivering value!

Hey Reader, Are you working on a project, piece of content, or maybe a new lead magnet, and stuck in the "it's not quite right yet" stage? This is where you feel good about what it is you're creating, but you're not quite happy with it. You're pretty sure it's pretty good...but you're also pretty sure it could be a little better. This is a dangerous place to get stuck in, because it can last a long time and really destroy your efficiency. I got an email this morning from my friend, Jay. In...
