I was actually dropping the ball.

Hey Reader,

At one point in my business, I was doing everything. And I mean everything.

Well, at least I THOUGHT I was doing everything.

In reality I was dropping the ball on most things.

I thought if I just worked harder, put in more hours, and we just posted more, went live more, created more stuff, etc, we would push through to that next level.

What actually ended up happening was....

We built something we couldn't sustain.

Something that wasn't helping us grow.

Something that was so spread out, so big, and so demanding, that we couldn't escape it.

I was no longer a business owner. I became a glorified firefighter, spending all day solving problems that shouldn't have existed in the first place.

I was quietly burning out.

What have we changed?

  • We've stopped trying to "add" our way to growth.
  • We stopped, stepped back, and have gotten much clearer on what actually moves the needle.
  • Then we worked on building systems (or tweaking existing systems) to support those things.

Your business likely doesn’t need more posts, podcast episodes, livestreams, products, or more of your time and energy.

It likely needs more clarity, more intention, and more space for you to lead it.

Slow down. Step back. Get clarity. Get focused. And go get it.

I hope this helps

~ Jeff

I appreciate you.

💡CONTENT CREATION IDEA

Share A Tool You Love.

This is one of the easiest content ideas, in my opinion, because you can just sort of love on a tool, app, software, etc.

If you're struggling with creating content, considering talking about a tool or resource you use and really like.

I'm not talking about sponsored content, or even something you have an affiliate link for (although, use it if you do). I'm saying just talk about one of the things that helps you do what you do better, faster, easier, etc.

You don’t need to write a whole tutorial (unless you want to, of course).

Just share a few things about something you use regularly:

  1. What is the tool or resource?
  2. What problem does it solve for you?
  3. Why do you love it/use it?
  4. What advice would you give someone just starting to use it?
  5. How can they can started with it?

Try it and let me know how it goes. I'm always up for finding a new tool or resource!

Hey Reader, Imposter syndrome is sneaky, right? It’s that voice that whispers, “You’re not ready.” “You don’t know enough.” “Who do you think you are to do this?” It shows up as perfectionism. As procrastination. As over-researching instead of starting. And for creators, educators, and entrepreneurs, it’s pretty common. (Like, annoyingly common.) And look, I could spend the next 500 emails telling you how smart, capable, and creative you are. But here’s the thing: hearing it from someone else...

Hey Reader, If there’s one thing that’s made the biggest difference in our team's success over the years, it’s this: We listen. It sounds simple (and it is), but it’s wildly underrated. Whether you’re running a consulting business, launching a course, starting a podcast, or growing a side hustle, you can’t grow for your audience if you’re not listening to your audience. In his book Superfans, Pat Flynn calls this “learning the lyrics.” It means listening to how your audience talks about their...

Hey Reader, Back in December, I shared that I had been holding on to a SWOT Analysis Workbook for more than 6 months without sharing it out. I was waiting for it to be "perfect" or "ready." The truth is, it's likely never going to be perfect...but it can be ready. So I shared it with you and got some really great feedback. I've made some adjustments from that feedback, and wanted to share it again today. Why? Well, because what I would typically do is receive that feedback and spend another 6...
